With the threat of repercussion, heroes had to go underground. But the Avengers still exist, just in secret. Black Panther leads a covert group of Avengers on surgical covert strikes against Zemo.
Storytelling
The storytelling of this Secret Avengers campaign will prioritize action against a globe-trotting thriller as the party goes from Wakanda to locations of Baron Zemo’s numerous machinations. Because of Black Panther’s connection to Wakanda, heroes will start with access to low level Vibranium weapons and technology crafted by Shuri. Think the Mission Impossible franchise and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Gameplay
Secret Avengers gameplay is expressed through stealth combat and espionage. Heroes will have to prioritize a covert approach as they investigate centers of global instability. Failure to do so will alert Zemo and his forces of their counter-terrorist efforts and turn hunter to prey. This campaign is geared towards players who prioritize indirect combat and silently dispatching foes while using skills to undo or sabotage enemy goals. Players will unravel a sprawling web of unknown enemy agents that sit at the ear of some of the Marvel universe’s most powerful establishments.
