The universe contains a multitude of multiverses. A series of infinitely branching timelines. Or, at least, it did. Unfortunately for reality, something has pulled all of these multiverses into a single timeline entanglement. The mutant utopia of Krakoa has been pulled into alignment with the mutant apocalypse of Days of Future Past. The cyberpunk streets of 2099 are a short walk across the neighborhood for Peter Parker, Spider-Man. And with it, all of the heroes and villains from an infinite series of realities have been pulled into a tangled knot, forming new alliances and deadly world-ending plots. Allies become enemies, and foes become friends. Mirror versions of each other fight over the best way to protect their realities and reject others.
At the center of it all, of course, is none other than Doom. And not just one of them, but two. Their combined timestream meddling has brought a Doctor Doom hellbent on destroying all others into combat with a Doom 2099. The conflict has drawn all other realities into its mess.
Now, small, unexpected alliances across timelines band together to stop both Doctor Dooms and find out how to repair the broken timestream. However, rarely do these alliances agree on how to do it, or have the same priorities, drawing each other into conflict as well.
Not to mention all the supervillains who mean to seize an opportunity to rule all of reality during the confusion.
